COURSE GOALS
The course provides students with basic knowledge about the financial activities of business; theory of determining risk and return relationships, stock pricing, principles and techniques, and analytical tools for making financial management decisions, especially investment decisions and working capital management, aiming to maximize shareholder value.
After completing this course, students should be able to analyze and evaluate financial performance and financial management in order to achieve the goals of the organization. Capabilities are classified on the basis of Benjamin S. Bloom's 6-scale benchmark (1956)
Course Desription
The course examines the financial performance of an organization through the knowledge of time value of money, financial performance indicators, working capital management and long-term capital management, thereby maximizing operations, optimizing value and managing cash flow to achieve business objectives. The course ensures that students understand intuitively and firmly the underlying theories of financial management and how to apply it in practice.
