COURSE GOALS
The course is about individual and group behaviors in an organization. By investigating changes and conflicts in behavior between individuals and between groups within the organization, learners can design and change organizational behavior to be more effective in business and communication. The course will help students gain more knowledge of organizational behavior, and gain skills and experience as well as confidence, so that students meet the demands of both domestic and foreign enterprises and many other organizations.
At the end of this course, the student's knowledge is assessed according to standards of the Business Administration sector's standard organizational behavior subject. Response levels are categorized according to Benjamin S.Bloom's six levels of cognition (1956).
Course Desiption
Based on the foundations of management, psychology and sociology, Organizational Behavior provides basic knowledge which is necessary for managers. The course helps future managers understand the internal and external causes and effects that lead to the behavior of individuals and groups within the organization. They can also learn methods to solve some management issues related to human resources in the organization. All managers need these skills in order to manage subordinates, communicate with higher managers, and successfully manage organizational change. These methods and skills are very practical in Vietnam when enterprises and organizations are forced to innovate.
